Local tie-ins - Fuel cells are a local story! 48 states plus Washington, DC have some sort of activity going on right now - check out our database of U.S. policy and demonstrations to see what initiatives, vehicle demonstrations, hydrogen fueling stations and fuel cell installations are in your state. See the technology first hand by visiting a hydrogen fueling station or fuel cell installation (like NY's Central Park police station) or schedule a visit to a company involved in the industry located near you. There are loads of fuel cell and energy conferences around the world - see if any are in your area, most conferences offer free press badges to the media and often have ride and fuel cell companies exhibiting with their technology.

Robert Rose is the Founding Executive Director of BTI and the US Fuel Cell Council, the trade association of the fuel cell industry. In more than 30 years in Washington, D.C., Bob has served in senior communications and policy positions in the U.S. government, as an advisor to state and regional governments, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector, and as an advocate for technologies with benefits to society. Bob is the author of Fuel Cells and Hydrogen: The Path Forward, which contributed to Congressional approval of a public-private partnership to commercialize fuel cells and supporting infrastructure. In 2004, Bob received the Fuel Cell Seminar Award, the most prestigious its kind in the U.S. He has written or edited several handbooks on air quality and environmental policy, and authored hundreds of articles, speeches and reports. Bob has testified before Committees of Congress and made presentations to forums and technical conferences around the world. Bob has been a repeat guest on National Public Radio's "Science Friday" and "Tech Tuesday," and appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor."


Jennifer Gangi As the Program Director for Fuel Cells 2000, Jennifer oversees outreach, education and informational activities; writes and edits the monthly Fuel Cell Technology Update; updates and maintains www.fuelcells.org, and its searchable databases. Jennifer also writes and places articles in national publications and gives presentations to various organizations and audiences.
